I started today by doing a bunch more sanding of the edges to get them closer to a uniform thickness.

Then, I mounted the elevators so I could make this cutout for the control arms.

It took some iteration, as you can see from the previous picture to this one.

And here in the full up position.

I sanded the entire surface to get ready for primer. I also noticed a small damaged area on the leading edge that needed to be patched, so I did that.

Finally, I drilled all of the holes out to #30 and countersunk them with a stone bit to avoid dulling my countersink bit.

I still need to do some filling in the areas where I laid up new fiberglass, prime it, and install the nutplates to receive these screws on the fuse, HS, and VS.
