Left Elevator Deburring, Dimpling, Misc (Left Elevator)
3.5 Hours

Previous - Index - Next

Tonight, I started by finishing the deburring (edges and holes) process that I started last night. Then I dimpled all of the ribs, spars, and skins.

Later, I went over to my Dad's house and we fabricated these little bending blocks for bending those tabs you see in the upper right corner of this picture. You'll understand the bending process better tomorrow.

Next up, I need to countersink a few spots (the top of the elevator's trim tab spar where the hinge will mount), then prep and prime the left elevator components. Also, I need to look into mounting the trim servo motor on the access plate.
