Fuel Tank Sealing (Fuel Tanks)
2.8 Hours

Previous - Index - Next

Tonight, I sealed and riveted in place the inboard end rib on the fuel tank. This was fairly easy to do, since all of these rivets could be squeezed. Emily came out and helped me shoot the AD470 rivets that attach the nose bracket to the the tank. I gooped a bunch of sealant all over everything.

I put a bunch of sealant all over the edges and rivet heads on this area later. The bracket fit great with the little notches for the rivet heads.

Later, I did a careful inspection of the ribs I had previously sealed and glopped some sealant on a few places that I felt could use it.
