Empennage Tips (Empennage)
2.0 Hours

Tonight, I did some light sanding in a few areas where I had put some epoxy and then spent a while taping/masking the tips and cleaning them for priming. Then I mixed up some of the two part epoxy primer and got to work.

I think it looks pretty good while it's still wet. At least, it's all better than my original attempt. There are a few spots on the rudder top that could probably use touch up if I get inspired.

The elevator tips look good.

And one of the HS tips that looks fine. I'm curious if these two different textures will look the same once the primer cures. I suspect it has to do with how the different surfaces (scuffed aluminum vs epoxy/micro vs epoxy vs scuffed gel coat) absorb the primer.
