Rear Window Countersinking, Fabbing Backing Strip (Canopy)
2.8 Hours

Previous - Index - Next

I began today by countersinking all of the holes in the rear window. Two different depths--one for screws and one for dimples.

It came out fine. The weirdness you see here is just the plastic on the underside.

Then I removed the top aft fuselage skin and traced out some backing strips in some 0.025" scrap.

Then, I trimmed them out with the band saw and polished the edges on the wheel.
