This year has been crazy for us. I have three board exams this year and we moved to a new city. I'm preparing to start a new job. All of this has really restricted the amount of time on the airplane.

The good news about the new place is more garage space for the plane project. Today, I sanded the left wing tip some more.

With the wing in the wing stand, I have easy access to the bottom of the tip, so I also filled in lots and lots of pinholes.

I had mentioned before that the right seat back brace interfered with the canopy brace, so I had ordered a new one. I had previously cut the lightening holes. Today, I positioned the new hinge half carefully.

And then drilled, deburred, primed, riveted, and painted it.

It's nice to be going again... Things on the todo list right now: install the new horizontal stabilizer reinforcement place per the AD from Van's, finish the left wing tip, start the right wing tip.

Still waiting on the engine. It was originally scheduled for June, but haven't heard anything about it yet.
