Rudder Prep (Rudder)
1.0 Hours

Previous - Index - Next

Tonight, I continued prepping the rudder for primer and final assembly. First, I edge prepped and deburred the three rudder attach point reinforcement plates. Then I used the soldering iron to melt the remain plastic strips on the rudder skins so I'd have access to debur the holes. Finally, I deburred all of the remaining holes in the two skins before I had to leave the shop for other activities.

I still need to prep the edges of the skins, bevel the edges of the counterweight skin, and properly edge prep the rudder bottom fairing attach strips. Then it'll be time for priming.
