ELT Tray Installation (Aft Fuselage)

I bought the optional ELT tray kit from Van's for mounting the ELT later on. I drilled it to the stringers on the left side of the fuselage just aft of the baggage compartment. These are a little bit awkward to get to with everything riveted together.

Then I deburred and installed the nutplates.

I prepped and primed.

Then I riveted it in place with the supplied blind rivets. These are very difficult to set given the space constraints, but it came out just fine.

Finally, I unpacked the battery box and started to look at the instructions for installation. This usually comes with the firewall forward kit, but I got it early for something to work on while I wait on the finish kit.
