First thing tonight I fabricated this little doubler that goes on the firewall to support the battery and starter contactors. Then, I riveted on fuel passthrough doubler, but as soon as I did it, I realized I needed to get to one of the rivets behind it to mount a nutplate for the contactors. I drilled it out and installed the two -4 nutplates as specified in the plans. Then, I riveted the doubler back in place. Finally, I drilled the doubler to the firewall. This all took longer than it should, but it was a bit of a process to determine the right order of steps. In the end, it worked nicely.
