Left Wheel Fairing (Landing Gear)
1.5 Hours

I made a 1" tall block of wood and taped it to the top of the wheel.

Then I started to slide the aft part of the fairing into place.

The gear leg requires a cut out.

Rough first pass at the cut out.

After some more fit and measurement, I drilled the outboard bracket to the aft fairing. I sanded off the gray gel coat so I could see where to drill.

Then I started to fit the forward half of the fairing. This required some enlarging of the hole for the wheel on the bottom.

I also made a small cut-out for the brake line.

I then used a plumb bob to mark a center line of the fuselage on the floor. I then transferred this line laterally to give me a parallel line so I can accurately align the wheel pant longitudinally.
