Wheel Pant Sanding, Fiberglass
(0.3 Hours Firewall Forward, 0.8 Hours Landing Gear)
1.1 Hours Total

I spent more time sanding the joint between the left side fairing halves. When I took off the forward fairing, I noticed a few spots where the sanding had made the fiberglass quite thin. I added 3 layers of fiberglass and epoxy in those areas.

I sanded the outside of the left aft fairing.

Then I sanded the joint line on the right side fairing and then added a little layup on the forward section where it had been thinned.

I had read somewhere about drilling holes in the back of the fuel tank vents in case the front gets plugged, so I did that.

I got the fittings for the manifold pressure port on the VA-168 block and installed those, then bolted it back to the firewall.
