Exhaust Installation (Firewall Forward)
3.0 Hours

I installed some dehydrator spark plugs. Looks like the engine came with auto plugs and plug adapters in place.

I also got a little dehydrator pump system to pump dry air through the crankcase. I live in Colorado, so humidity is already low, but I don't want anything inside the engine to rust while I'm waiting to finish the build.

Then I installed the Vetterman crossover exhaust system. The bolts are hard to get to, so I had to go buy a 1/4" drive 1/2" socket that I then ground down to make its walls thinner. I was then able to torque all of the exhaust bolts.

Then I installed the exhaust supports--the two vertical ones attach to the sump. There is a horizontal one that goes between the two pipes as well.

A view from underneath.

I also took off the breather tube and bent it so the end terminates over the left exhaust tube so any oil that comes out of it will get burned off by the hot exhaust.
