Top Cowl Hinge Riveting, Inlet Fitting (Firewall Forward)
2.5 Hours

Today, I countersunk all of the hinge attachment holes on the top cowl.

Then I drilled 1/4" holes in the hinge segments per the instructions (to give the epoxy/flox something to grab to) and roughed up their inside surfaces with 60 grit sandpaper.

Then I riveted them to the cowl half with a slurry of epoxy/flox to help prevent loosening over time due to vibration, again per the instructions.

It took a while to clean the clecos after this...

Then I tried to fit the inlet cowl ducts. The plans don't give you much information about where exactly to secure these, so I taped them in place.

And then fit the cowl to the plane. This duct on the right side is a little bit close to cylinder #1, although it's really hard to see in this picture. I will move it forward to give more air path over the top of the cylinder.
