Oil Cooler Diffuser Mold Filler/Sanding, Airbox Fitting (Firewall Forward)
5.0 Hours

I did some more sanding on the oil cooler diffuser and then slathered on a coat of epoxy/micro filler.

I added a bit more RTV to the corners of the air box and some epoxy/flox to the rivet heads to keep them secure. I also did some trimming/filing in the inside of the airbox to make the filter fit a bit more easily.

I spent a little while figuring out the hose routing between the oil cooler and the engine. It turns out the standard Van's hoses will work for my installation of the cooler on the firewall.

I also checked to see how the mixture and prop cables will route with the oil cooler in the way--looks like they should be fine.

I reinstalled the airbox and then drilled it to the left inlet floor.

I spent a long while sanding the filler coat on the diffuser.
