Starter & Alternator Wiring, Inter-cylinder Baffle Sealing (Firewall Forward)
4.8 Hours

Today I worked on wiring the starter and alternator. The whole process was slow because I'm deciding where to route the wires as I go, and that takes a while. Here's some 4 gauge coming off the back of the starter. It then heads under the engine on an adel clamp with a link from the case.

Then it joins up with some 6 gauge from the alternator and the field wire.

I'm going to support it off the prop oil line in two places with adel clamps, but I need size 5.

Then they split and go their respective ways. All of the zip ties will be replaced with lacing cord.

I also installed a ground strap from the engine case to the ground point on the firewall. I'm thinking about adding a second ground strap as a back-up.

Then I spent a while sealing up the inter-cylinder baffles with more high temp RTV.
