(2.8 Hours Rudder, 0.8 Hours Vertical Stabilizer)
3.6 Hours Total

Here's the VS tip after some sanding, with the new fiberglass section visible.

And the bottom of the lower rudder tip after some sanding. I'll fill this with epoxy/micro to even it out.

And then I fabricated and installed a mounting plate for the tail light on the aft end of the lower rudder tip. This is exactly what I had done on the other rudder. I bonded it with epoxy/flox and six blind rivets. The small holes are tapped for 4-40 screws.

And here with the light installed as a demonstration.

While I had the epoxy/flox mixed up, I bonded and riveted the rudder top tip.

Then, I reinstalled the rudder and set the spacing to the VS tip. You can see how much better the two tips match in height after the modification to the VS tip.

I didn't take a picture, but I then bonded a piece of thin plywood to act as the filler for the aft end of the VS tip.
