Panel Cut-outs (Electrical)
2.0 Hours

I received an avionics shipment today from Stein. I had previously rough cut the holes for the G3X Touch GDU460 displays. Now that I have the actual items in hand, I final sized them, drilled mounting holes, and tapped the holes for attach screws.

The switches fit with lots of room under the screens. The switch guards have about 1/16" of gap to the bottom of the screens.

Then I started on the radio stack. Here's the rough cut of the GMC 507 autopilot control unit. It doesn't require a mounting rack...it has little pawls that extend out and grip the panel between the front cover and the rear section.

The two radios and the audio panel all have mounting racks.

One other comment: the panel is not symmetrical. Everything is slightly shifted to the left toward the pilot position.
