More Panel Cutting, Radio Stack Rails (Electrical)
4.0 Hours

Previous - Index - Next

I finished cutting out the radio stack for the audio panel at the bottom.

Then I started fabricating some side rails for the mounting racks to attach to. These are some lengths of 3/4"x3/4" aluminum angle. I clamped them carefully using the racksas spacers.

Then I removed the radios and racks and drilled the angles carefully to the panel. There is only a very narrow strip so I was careful with this.

Then I trimmed the angle pieces where they overlapped with the G3X holes and riveted them to the panel. They make it very strong in this area.

I made the hole for the G5 and installed its mounting bracket.

Then I drilled two holes for the alternate air and oil cooler butterfly valve controls.
