Emily came out to the airport this morning and helped me get the wings attached. We snaked all the wires and air tubing through the wings while we were at it. There are 10 bolts that connect the wing spar to the center section on each side. Getting the lower bolts in was a pain, but I got it done. Still need to torque the big bolts. I had to remove one of the bolts that attaches the corner brace to get a socket on the lower outboard -4 bolt through the spar. I also bolted the fuel tank support brackets and safety wired them. I installed the fuel feed and vent lines. I installed, torqued, and pinned the rear spar bolts and castle nuts. I hung the flaps on both sides. I safety wired the hinge pins in place for both flaps. I rigged both flaps to be snug against the fuselage when fully retracted. Then I installed the flap weldment to pushrod bolts. I re-calibrated the flap motor sensor for 0, 15, 30, and 40 degrees. By my measurement, my flaps will extend to 44 degrees, which is 1 degree short of the specified maximum. I will stick with a 40 degree preset, though. It's really starting to come together, but it feels like there are so many things left to do.
