New Heat Muff

One issue with the plane has been how insufficient the heat has been when it's cloudy or I'm at high altitude. The existing heat muff design is flimsy and inadequate, in my opinion.

So I ordered a custom version of the "Turbo Muff Cabin Heat Muff", which is designed to be an improved experimental aircraft heat muff. It has longitudinal aluminum rods inside wrapped in copper wire to create more surface for heat transfer. It is much more solidly built. I got mine 9" long and had the inlet and outlet custom oriented for the arrangement under my cowl.

Here it is installed. I ran the fresh air inlet to the far (cool) end and take the outlet off of the near (hot) end.

I haven't yet had a chance to test it, but I'm hopeful that the heat output will be much better.
